Care

"Carry one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
- Galatians 6:2

Life can be hard. Things like grief, fear, and uncertainty are common to us all.

In a world that is fallen, everyone goes through seasons of feeling insecure, overwhelmed, and under-encouraged. When this happens, it’s easy to assume that no one understands—to sink into shame as  circumstances unravel. For hurts like addiction, an imploding marriage, job loss, a wayward child, or loneliness, the church at its best exists as a place of refuge and healing. We at Christ Presbyterian Church want very much to be that kind place. Just reach out to our Care Team. That first, brave step will draw you out of isolation in such a way that your burdens can be shared. We are here for you.

Volunteer

Our Bereavement Team serves by coming alongside those facing the loss of a loved one. The team helps set up, direct, and offers support for Visitation and Funeral services.  The Bereavement Team serves on an as-needed basis as services arise.

Our Meal Team serves by providing meals to those in our congregation who are facing a challenging time, such as recovery from surgery, illness, or loss of a loved one. The Meal Team is called upon on an as-needed basis, after other avenues for meal support have been contacted, such as Connect Groups or Ministry Departments.

Our Prayer Team serves by praying for those of our congregation and community who submit their prayer needs weekly through our website or QR code during service. They receive a weekly email with updated prayer requests.

The Communion Team serves weekly during our services in various roles to support the sacrament of Communion. Team members receive an email each month to share their availability to be scheduled.  It is a sweet way to serve as we come together to gather at Table.
