Kidconnection Fall Conference (Inservice for Preschool Directors & Teachers)

Kidconnection 2009 Fall Conference has been postponed

Future date to be determined.

Great speakers, good food and door prizes!

The Kidconnection staff welcomes you to enjoy a day that promises education, fun, excitement, and refreshment. This conference will count as 6 in-service credit hours. We will have four speakers lined up to provide you with information. These speakers will show you how to keep your students safe, provide curriculum ideas at no cost, add science in a creative and fun way, and how to use most any toy to educate.

Mark Adams will give us information on sexual molestation. He will present current information and statistics and focus on child protection and awareness. His presentation is very interactive and he welcomes your questions. Mark works in the Loss Control/Risk Management Department with Crichton, Brandon, Jackson and Ward Insurance Company in Nashville, TN

The Nashville Public Library will present their "Bringing Books to Life" program. They will also inform us about the free services the Library has to offer early childhood educators. The information presented will help us, as educators, foster children's reading readiness. We will learn how to incorporate activities and tools for preschoolers and their families.

Mr. Rich brings science to life. Between the bubbling potions, explosions, atoms and light waves, children will be so fascinated they won't even know they are actually learning! He will give you a taste of "Super Science TN" and let you know how to bring this to your center.

Ken Bridges will give us a presentation on educational toys. This is an interactive presentation in which everyone will participate. The hands on activities will make you think and get the creative juices flowing! At the end of the presentation there will be a chance to purchase these educational toys as well as other products for your center. Ken owns JEMS which sells material for early childhood development.
