Wednesday nights at Awesome Oaks Children’s Ministry is a great place to learn God’s word in a fun, interactive setting!

Children's Choirs are open to all children grades 1-6 who enjoy singing and worship through music and drama.  Classes meet weekly on Wednesdays 5-6 p.m. and are divided into 3 choirs (grouped grades 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th). Choirs are scheduled occasionally in the worship service and have programs in December and early May. If you have any questions, contact Jana Fisher at jfisher@christpres.org.

Preschoolers will be learning the A-B-C’s of the Bible. Children will learn a Bible verse that begins with each letter of the alphabet. Bible stories, games and crafts will all reinforce the truth of scripture and help children learn through play about the goodness and faithfulness of God. Location: 3’s, 4’s and 5’s are in the nursery/preschool building; kindergarteners are in B218.

Early elementary students (grades 1-3) will be learning to make “God’s Way, My Way.” Each week students will learn through large group teaching and small group activities what the Bible tells us about how to live our lives to the glory of God. Active games and a focus Bible verse make Wednesday nights a great mid-week connection. Location: B213, B215, B217.

Older elementary students (grades 4-5) are entering a stage of life that involves great leaps of growth and change. What does the Bible have to say about the questions they “grapple” with? Adult leaders help preteens search the Scriptures and talk through issues such as, Can I make a difference in the world?, What if I pray really hard, and God says no?, How do I know God’s voice? Preteens love to be together and talk together. Wednesday nights provide that opportunity in a safe, God-focused environment. Location: B231 and B232..

Sixth graders will be learning how to "Become God's Champions".  After experiencing the life and travels of the Apostle Paul's missionary journeys last semester, they will doing an inductive study of one of Paul's letters to Timothy.  Through this study sixth graders will learn how to study the Bible for themselves.  Location: B233
