Electrical Storms - Super Green
Sometimes it is fun just to stand back and marvel at God's creation. Do you know why the trees and the grass are so green after
an electrical storm?

Gardening Trivia:
The lightning sends nitrogen down to the earth causing the plants to make more chlorophyl then normal. Thus the intense green.

Read Psalm 104 as you praise Him today!

Gentle Leaders - Daffodil Care
in Late Spring

Daffodils bring us joy with their beautiful blossoms announcing Spring, then we have their fading foliage with which to deal. We have all witnessed how a community of Christians function better with a gentle leader  that holds us loosely allowing the gifts of many to make a stronger unit. It is the same with Daffodil foliage.

Gardening Tip:
Take one strong blade, gather the others and gently fold them over and loosely wrap the strong blade around the bundle and tie. This allows all the different minerals and vitamins flow back into the bulb to make it strong and healthy for next year's bloom.

The different blades are Living Sacrifices
( Romans 12 ) if allowed to die naturally they carry out their God given purpose.

Pruning Hydrangeas!

The Lord prunes some of us right after we make a beautiful display and shine before God and man. And some of us are pruned hard in order to be made ready for a special moment in this season to further His kingdom.

Gardening Tip:
Oakleaf Hydrangeas (sp. quercifolia ) set their buds on old seasoned wood from last years growth.
Where Annabelles  (sp. arborescens ) burst forth their beauty on new growth produced this year.
Therefore, cut back Annabelles before end of April and wait to cut Oakleaf Hydrangeas at the end of July right after they bloom.

The Evangelism Lifestyle (click to open PDF) Booklet

The Evangelism Lifestyle proposes to engage our minds, senses and hearts in following the Holy Spirit. Evangelism begins and ends with Christ and our zeal for His Glory. As John Stott said in his The Contemporary Christian, “How can we worship Christ and not mind that others do not? It is our worship of Christ which impels us to witness to Christ, in order that others may come and worship Him too.”

The Evangelism Lifestyle is meant to help prepare our hearts for a movement of God’s Spirit upon His people to further the Kingdom of God.

Personal evangelism is a by-product of each person’s walk with the Holy Spirit. We hope you commit to explore this process with joy and gladness. We urge everyone reading this guide to relax and enjoy the process and not feel compelled or coerced to do this in your own strength.

Every member of Christ Presbyterian Church can use this method, either individually or in a group setting. The material is meant to take several weeks to complete to allow time for reflection and prayer. You will discover that this process is more about Christ and your attitude and relationship to Him than it is about trying to “save” someone. Having a right heart before God invites Him to pour His unlimited blessings into our lives.

May God Himself: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, richly bless you in this time.
