A legacy of excellence
The repertory of the Worship Choir ranges from classical and traditional, to black gospel and contemporary. The Worship Choir performs weekly during the worship service from mid-August to mid-June, with a break in the Summer. They also are featured in our annual Christmas Program, Holy Week services, and various special outreach events.

Worship & Music Service Opportunities

WORSHIP CHOIR
If you enjoy lifting your voice in praise, and have a heart for worship, we would welcome you to join this special family!  Rehearsals are open and meet regularly at 6:30-8:00pm on Wednesdays from late August through June in the Choir Amphitheatre.   Experience in reading music is not a requirement, but encouraged.  Come and join us! - Director, Lynn Hodges.

CHILDREN'S CHOIRS

Open to all children grades 1-6 who enjoy singing and worship through music and drama.  Classes meet weekly on Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00 p.m., and are divided into 3 choirs (grouped grades 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, and 5th & 6th).  Choirs are scheduled occasionally in the worship service and have programs in December and early May. Contact Jana Fisher at jfisher@christpres.org for more information.

ORCHESTRA
Open to those who have instrumental experience in an orchestral instrument (brass, woodwinds, strings or percussion, please email Evelyn Allen. The orchestra performs for occasional worship services as well as special events and programs throughout the year!  Skill level of high school or above preferred, but not required.  We would love to hear from you!

BAND
Open to those who have band instrument experience (Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keys).  Please contact Craig Nelson.  The band rehearses Sunday mornings and occasional weeknights on an as needed basis.  They are made up of professional and volunteers alike, who come with a heart of service and praise to the Lord.  They assist in the leading of corporate worship on a weekly basis.  Their primary role is to accompany and provide a solid foundation for congregation worship repertoire, choral anthems and special music features.  We would love to hear from you!

MEDIA / TECHNICAL RESOURCES
The technical ministries of Christ Presbyterian Church are a multifaceted, large ministry with multiple venues of support and service on a daily basis.  If you have experience in audio mixing, video mixing and editing, presentation software or recording, we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Don Stanley Technical & Media Director.

DRAMATIC / VISUAL ARTS
We currently desire to develop this ministry.  If you have dramatic experience, and/or visual and set design gifts, we would love to hear from you.  Current practices are to enhance special programs and events.  If you wish to inquire, contact Lynn Hodges .
