February 2016 Newsletter

CPC Youth exists to follow Christ in His mission of loving people, places, and things to life by partnering with families in raising the next generation for a lifetime of knowing God, experiencing his love, and following Jesus Christ.

For Sunday morning and small group information, visit our Junior High or Senior High page.

This month we will continue our small group study series on Colossians. Preview the lessons below. We are also joining Covenant Presbyterian Church as they sponsor their Gospel Sexuality: Raising Sexually Healthy Kids Seminar on Saturday Feb. 27, click the link for registration and more details.

Winter/Spring Small Group Study Lessons

Lesson 3:  Prayer and Thanksgiving (Colossians 1:9-14)
Prayer and Thanksgiving are central to the Life of a Christian. It is through prayer that God “tunes our hearts” to sing his grace through our lives.

Lesson 4: Preeminence and Salvation (Colossians 1:15-23)
Jesus created all things, and holds all things together, but considers us the most beautiful of all of his creations. Because Jesus is in control, we don’t need to be. Living a life of surrender to Jesus is so simple that it’s difficult.

Lesson 5: Suffering and Mission (Colossians 1:24-29)
The goal of Paul’s life was to complete the mission that God called him to complete. It is because of his completed mission, that we have the opportunity to hear about Jesus’ offer of salvation to us.
