Session Apology Letter from August 27, 2024
As we, the Session, reflect on the past year, review recommendations from our church culture consultants, Align, and seek a path forward, one thing has become increasingly clear to us: the unhealthy patterns that developed over time in the management and leadership of our staff—and, to some extent, in the overall leadership of our church—took root under our watch. For the hurt and harm this has caused, we are sincerely and deeply sorry.
Align Assessment Recommendations from July 16, 2024
The Session has received the report from Align, the company hired to assist in the evaluation of the culture and health of Christ Presbyterian Church. The report was presented to all church officers, advisors, and staff members. The committee charged with coordinating this work is in the process of reviewing the specific recommendations with these groups.
Align Assessment Update from June 5, 2024
We are pleased to share that Align, our third-party cultural assessment team, has completed their thorough assessment and presented their valuable recommendations to our church staff, session, and diaconate. We are currently processing these insights as we prayerfully consider our next steps. As our leadership and staff continue forward during this season, we are hopeful about successfully implementing several of Align's recommendations as we humbly shepherd and disciple our church and community well.
