Sarah Portillo

Sarah joined the staff of Christ Presbyterian Church in March 2024. She and her husband, Carlos, who is also on staff as our Guys Discipleship Coordinator, have one daughter, Esther Grace. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from Bryan College. Sarah’s favorite part of her job is spending Sundays learning about the Bible with the church’s Special Needs friends. She considers it a gift and privilege to experience and understand God’s love through their eyes. Sarah is in awe of the Lord for allowing her to be a part of His ministry and to get to know the remarkable people involved who she finds life-changing. Her favorite verse is Titus 3:4-7 (ESV):

“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
