Adults Study in Acts

6:30-7:30 p.m.  |  Fellowship Hall

The last day of programming will be April 29.

A group of bewildered apostles stood gazing toward heaven as their Savior ascended from their sight. Jesus charged them with spreading the gospel to the earth’s four corners and starting the Church as we know it. How did they do it? The book of Acts details the Church’s early frontier as the apostles went from bewildered to empowered by the Holy Spirit—and the Church went out. Join pastors David Filson and Lee Eric Fesko as they walk us through the earliest years of the Christian Church in The Acts of the Apostles and how those acts give us definition, meaning, and structure for the Church of today. We’ll meet every Wednesday night.

6:30-8 p.m.  |  Choir Room (behind Sanctuary stage)

The last day of programming will be April 29.

Singers: Come worship with us and meet our new Choir Director, Mark Slaughter! Your voice is needed in our adult choir. If you have a heart to sing and a desire to minister through music to our congregation, there is a place for you. No audition required and no experience necessary. Students through Senior Adults are welcome. Come experience the adult choir ministry — it’s an amazing opportunity to serve! For more information, please contact us.

6:30-7:30 p.m.  |  Window Room

The last day of programming will be April 29.

Weaving the richness and wisdom of Scripture with proven practices to grow intimacy and deep friendship within our marriages.

This class, led by church members Steve and Lynley Jackson, will offer opportunities to gain insight, as well as learn skills that help build loving and lasting marriages. Through honest dialogue about the challenges of maintaining a healthy marriage, this class will strive to counter the isolation couples can fall into, especially in a church setting where it may feel unsafe to be real. There are no perfect marriages in this class – only couples who desire to be accepted for where they are, yet open to experiencing more in their relationship.

This semester, we will focus on how our learned attachment styles/relationship tendencies can enhance or obstruct us from God’s original intentions for our marriages. We will learn how to move away from the unhealthy practices we have developed through past experiences, life’s complexities, or the inherent busyness this world often demands. Interested? Please sign up here by January 31, or Contact Steve and Lynley if you have additional questions.
