In the United States alone, there are half a million suicide attempts annually and one suicide every seventeen minutes. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among those between the ages of 15 to 25, and the sixth leading cause among those between 5 and 14. Those who reach this tragic place have, in most cases, fallen into despair-or the belief that one’s pain is greater than one’s resources.
