Sunday School Groups
Midsize groups for learning Scripture, theology, and mission in the context of community
There are several Sunday School Groups to choose from at Christ Presbyterian; some of them seasonal and others ongoing. These midsize groups are chiefly for learning Scripture, theology, and mission in the context of interactive community. Sunday School Group subjects range from Bible basics for seekers and new believers to more in-depth studies of different books of the Bible. All Sunday School Groups aim to strike a balance between in-depth instruction and personal interaction.

Great adventure stories contain tyrannical villains, unexpected heroes, a long journey home (often involving a mountain), disasters and dangers on land and sea, terrifying twists and turns, magic and miracles, feasts and faithfulness. Long before Tolkien wrote The Lord of the Rings, Moses penned the Book of Exodus - the greatest adventure story ever told. This sweeping epic, from Pharaoh's throne, to Yaheweh's tabernacle, tells the tale of God's covenant faithfulness, delivering his people through fears and failures, setting them apart for the intimacy of worship and holiness, pursuing them across desert sands, reversing the curse that drove them, and us, out of the Garden. No book of the Old Testament reveals Christ quite like Exodus. Join us for an exegetical, archaeological, and theological, line-upon-line study of Exodus.
Teacher: Pastor Lee Eric Fesko
Day/Time: Sundays | 10:30 a.m.

Understanding the What and the Why of Who We Are. Finding a church home has challenges in sorting out the differences between one church and the next, or even one denomination from another. But practically speaking, many of us just want to know, "What do we believe?" Perhaps more importantly, we want to understand why we believe what we believe. In this Learning Group, Pastor Lee Eric Fesko will explore the foundations of our faith and explain who we are as confessing, covenantal Christians in the Presbyterian Church in America. We'll use the Scripture to defend our beliefs while allowing ample time for questions and meaningful dialogue. This is a Learning Group for all ages.
