DESCRIPTION:CPC101 for Old Hickory Blvd is an informative and interactive 11-week session (Sundays during Learning Group hour\, 10:30-11:20 a.m.\, February 2 through April 13\, 2025) that walks you through our church mission/vision/values\, the Presbyterian faith\, and is the first step in our membership process. Our facilitators lead adults through lessons supported by our CPC101 workbook\, which you’ll receive a copy of upon arrival. Membership is not required once you complete CPC101\, but for those wishing to become members\, participation in CPC101 is a prerequisite. Information on our membership process and baptism can be found here. \nThis session will have 8 weeks of content\, with 2 weeks of elder interviews for those wishing to become members. RITI is a ministry that works alongside churches to host and feed men in the community who find themselves in a situation without a stable home. DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Annual Cool Springs Chili Cookoff and Big Game Football Watch Party is February 9! Join us to watch the game and enjoy some homemade chili\, or submit chili for the cook-off. Please also bring canned soup to donate to GraceWorks Ministries! This is the time of year GraceWorks is most in need of food donations. It’s a SOUP-er Bowl Party! \nHere are all the details you need to know: \nWhat to Bring: \nLast Names A–M bring sides (chips\, cornbread\, cheese\, sour cream\, etc) \nLast Names N–Z bring desserts (please label if it contains nuts) \n  \nChili Cook Off Entries: \nBring a slow cooker or pot of chili to enter! Arrive at 5PM and check in at the welcome desk to receive your chili’s entry number. There are 3 categories: nontraditional (vegetarian\, chicken\, white chili\, etc)\, spiciest\, and overall. Judging will begin promptly at 5:15. Winners will be announced before halftime. \n  \nFor the Kids: \nThere will be non-spicy kid-friendly chili available! We will also have some short tables for kids and some coloring pages. We will not show the halftime show in the sanctuary! \n  \nBut what if I want to watch the halftime show? \nThe halftime show will be shown in Room 108 for those who are interested in watching it. \n  \nI really like football. Will I actually be able to watch the game? \nYes! We will have the game playing on the screens in the sanctuary\, but we will also have our TV on the cart set up in the corner for those who are very invested in the football.

We will focus on the why behind Children’s Ministry – discipleship and teaching a Biblical-worldview. We will also review safety policies and classroom management. Please make every effort to join us as this will be an in-depth training filled with a lot of information! Childcare will be provided. \nOur elementary kids will also be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation lunch for you during this time.
