Doug is an apologist\, author\, Ruling Elder at Christ Presbyterian\, and graduate of the postgraduate program in Shroud Studies from the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum. The Shroud of Turin first appeared in Europe in the 1300s and has captivated the imagination of Christians ever since\, defying explanation and generating controversy. Join us as Doug digs into questions such as\, does the cathedral in Oviedo\, Spain have the cloth that was wrapped around Jesus’ head as chronicled in John 20:7? Power line work will be happening in the area causing power to be out at the Scarritt Bennett Center\, so we’ll be shifting our regularly scheduled service to the Back Lawn. \nPlease bring will a blanket or chair to sit on. \nNo childcare will be available. \nIn case of inclement weather\, we’ll run power to the chapel\, worship in the dimmer light\, and get some paper hand fans like we’re at an old time camp meeting (in the words of Pastor Chad Escue)!
