Prayers for The Covenant School Community

In partnership with Christ Presbyterian Academy, we will gather for a time of communal prayer for The Covenant School families. Pastors Scott Sauls and David Filson, as well as CPA Head of School Nate Morrow will lead this time of prayer, scripture, and worship. All CPA and CPC families are invited, and parents may bring their children if they like.

When the unthinkable happens and we are made to feel our frailty and helplessness in a fallen, tragic, and senselessly violent world, one of the most important things we can do is come together to seek the Lord in prayer and lament.

This evening, Monday, March 27, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., we will be opening our sanctuary for a community event, open to any and every person who wishes to attend – An Evening of Prayer for The Covenant School Community. Children of all ages are also welcome. We will spend time together expressing our confusion, our sorrow, our anger, and our craving for a hope that can only be found in the promises of the gospel and the resurrection. We are also bringing together as many men and women as we can from church leadership to be available to pray and offer care in more personal ways.

In addition, we wanted to share some valuable resources that might help our families as you navigate the difficult discussions with your children about mass violence.
