DESCRIPTION:How does one think rightly about God?  What is he like? What are his characteristics? Thankfully\, when it comes to all these complex and deep questions\, God speaks for himself.  Join us as we hear from over half of the Westminster faculty engage these heavily debated topics. They will point us back to the source of answering doctrine of God questions with precision and accuracy; God’s own word. \n“The Unchanging God Has Spoken” from Westminster Theological Seminary is being hosted at Christ Presbyterian’s Old Hickory Blvd campus\, with Interim Senior Pastor David Filson as one of the speakers. During this conference\, attendees will dive into the theology of who God is and how we should view him over the course of two days\, with lectures from various speakers. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Churchwide Tailgate and Turkey Bowl! We’ll have a time of food and fellowship after the Learning Group hour from 11:30 a.m. until we run out of food. The entire church is invited to potluck-style tailgate on the Breezeway with BBQ and burgers provided. Once you’ve registered below\, families with last names A-N are encouraged to bring a side dish and last names O-Z are encouraged to bring a dessert. \nTurkey Bowl MMXXIV will be held on the CPA Soccer Field with games beginning around 12:30 p.m. and ending by 2:30. Everyone from 4th Grade to 12th grade\, college\, young adults\, and anyone else willing to play\, is invited to join a team for this flag football tournament! Teams will be mixed ages with a focus on fun and safety. SUMMARY:Lessons & Carols – Old Hickory Blvd (3 & 5 p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:Come\, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior\, Jesus Christ with a special\, candlelight service on Christmas Eve at Old Hickory Blvd. “Lessons and Carols” is a traditional service celebrated by churches throughout time and across the globe. It began in the late 1800s in the Cathedral of Turo in the UK\, and was later performed regularly at Kings College in Cambridge beginning in 1918. There are seven lessons from Scripture\, leading us from Isaiah’s prophecy of the Messiah’s birth to the annunciation to the visit of the magi. Carols are sung by the congregation in response to each lesson. \nWATCH HERE \n3:00 p.m. Service \n\nOur friends with special needs and their families can enjoy worship with buddy support from the Window Room (livestream TV available).
