Ecclesiastes is a unique book among the books of the Bible. If the Bible were a party, some might call Ecclesiastes the party pooper. As the writer, who seems to present himself as Solomon the son of David, experiences all the “good” that life has to offer-from wisdom riches to pleasure to success in his work-he concludes that it is all, in the end, meaningless.
