Philippians: Finding Joy in Every Season
The Apostle Paul teaches us there is joy in everything. Paul painfully endured all sorts of opposition and persecution-as demonstrated by the fact that he wrote Philippians from a jail cell. Likewise, he always looked forward with hope, knowing that the Lord was going to bring new birth in the lives of others through his labors-specifically spiritual birth into the family of God. And so, no matter how hard things became, Paul did not fall into despair. His hope was not based on circumstances or outcomes, but rather on the steady hand of God’s faithfulness in his life.
