Currently, all of our volunteering opportunities are at our Old Hickory Blvd location.

Sunday Mornings

You can serve on a once-a-month rotation on Sunday mornings at the at the Old Hickory Blvd location. Can’t commit to anything regular? We love to have substitutes that can be available on an as-needed basis.

Buddy Helper: Assist our kids, students or adults with special needs by being a one on one helper as they navigate the morning. Teens and adults may serve in this capacity.

Inspirations Class Leader: Join a team of leaders and help facilitate a Core hour class of a group of adults with disabilities.

On-Call Buddy: Be available to be pulled from the service or Core hour if a scheduled buddy is not available suddenly, or a new family with a child with special needs arrives unexpectedly.

Music Team: Use your musical talents to share music with our Inspirations Class

Sunday Morning Host: Help us greet our team of volunteers and be sure they have their name tag and everything they need to have a successful morning.

Inspirations Class JR. : Join a team of teachers and help facilitate a Core hour class of a group of kids with disabilities.

Special Saturdays

Kids with special needs and their siblings are invited to enjoy an uplifting time of Bible stories, music and crafts. You can serve once-a-month in the morning of the second Saturday. Can’t commit to a Saturday morning? We also love to have helpers that can be available on Friday afternoons to set up.

Buddy Helper: Assist our kids and students with special needs by being a one on one helper as they navigate the morning. Teens and adults may serve in this capacity.

Set-up: Join us on Friday afternoon after school to help set up toys and stations for Saturday morning.

Station Leader: Help facilitate one of six stations during Special Saturday: crafts, music, story, registration, snacks or games.

Craft Prep: Take home a kit of craft materials to help prepare the craft for the month.

The Ascent

The Ascent is a group that meets for a time of fellowship, amazing worship, a fun activity and a message geared toward adults with special needs. We meet from August-May every other Sunday from 5-7 p.m. You can serve in the evening on one to two Sundays a month.

Story Teller: Use the given curriculum to lead a group of adults with disabilities through a Bible story.

Meals: Provide a meal or a portion of a meal for the evening and then spend a special time of fellowship with adults during dinner.

Greeter: Help us welcome everyone with a smiling face, find their nametag, and make their way to our meeting space.

Music: Use your musical talents to share 3 songs and the doxology each meeting.

Friend: Join us for an evening of fellowship with our adults with disabilities. Carry on conversations, eat a meal and participate in worship.
