Mark Slaughter

Mark joined the staff of Christ Presbyterian Church in December 2025. He and his wife, Jody, have two children: Wesley, married to Sarah, and Mary Katherine, engaged to Wade. Mark holds a Bachelor of Music from Belmont University, a Masters of Divinity/Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary; His favorite part of his role is helping create a dynamic worship experience through music and his favorite verse is Colossians 3:12-14 (ESV): 

“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
