SUMMARY:Lessons & Carols – Old Hickory Blvd (3 & 5 p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:Come\, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior\, Jesus Christ with a special\, candlelight service on Christmas Eve at Old Hickory Blvd. “Lessons and Carols” is a traditional service celebrated by churches throughout time and across the globe. It began in the late 1800s in the Cathedral of Turo in the UK\, and was later performed regularly at Kings College in Cambridge beginning in 1918. There are seven lessons from Scripture\, leading us from Isaiah’s prophecy of the Messiah’s birth to the annunciation to the visit of the magi. Carols are sung by the congregation in response to each lesson. \n3:00 p.m. Service \n\nThe nursery will be available for ages 0-2 (no additional Kids programming).\nWe’ll have a Wiggles & Giggles area in the Gathering Room for families with small children to hang out and play (livestream TV available).\nOur friends with special needs and their families can enjoy worship with buddy support from the Window Room (livestream TV available). The Christ Presbyterian Church and Christ Presbyterian Academy Bridge Committee invites you to a Football Tailgate Party and Game happening here on our home turf. Join us on the Lawn (next to the Soli Deo Center; in case of rain\, we’ll be inside the SDC Lobby) beginning at 5 p.m. for a tailgate complete with Zaxby’s Chicken for dinner\, and then make your way over to The Den\, CPA’s football field\, for the CPA vs. Antioch game at 7 p.m. All attendees will receive free admission to the game. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Outdoor Family Service on Sunday\, October 1st at 10 a.m. behind the church by the Breezeway. This will be an opportunity for all generations of our church family to worship together. Following worship\, stick around for a time of community as we eat lunch together. Bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on as well as a picnic lunch – or purchase a meal from the food trucks that will be on campus.
