DESCRIPTION:The Third Annual Cool Springs Chili Cookoff and Big Game Football Watch Party (between the Chiefs and 49ers) is February 11! Join us to watch the game and enjoy some homemade chili\, or submit chili for the cook-off. Please also bring canned soup to donate to GraceWorks Ministries! This is the time of year GraceWorks is most in need of food donations. It’s a SOUP-er Bowl Party! \n\nHere are all the details you need to know: \nWhat to Bring: \nLast Names A–M bring sides (chips\, cornbread\, cheese\, sour cream\, etc) \nLast Names N–Z bring desserts (please label if it contains nuts) \n  \nChili Cook Off Entries: \nBring a slow cooker or pot of chili to enter! Arrive at 5PM and check in at the welcome desk to receive your chili’s entry number. There are 3 categories: nontraditional (vegetarian\, chicken\, white chili\, etc)\, spiciest\, and overall. Judging will begin promptly at 5:15. Winners will be announced before halftime. \n  \nFor the Kids: \nThere will be non-spicy kid-friendly chili available! We will also have some short tables for kids and some coloring pages. We will not show the halftime show in the sanctuary! \n  \nBut what if I want to watch the halftime show? \nThe halftime show will be shown in Room 108 for those who are interested in watching it. \n  \nI really like football. Will I actually be able to watch the game? \nYes! We will have the game playing on the screens in the sanctuary\, but we will also have our TV on the cart set up in the corner for those who are very invested in the football.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Lessons & Carols services at 4:30 or 6 p.m on Christmas Eve. This is an in-person event only. \nThe 4:30 p.m. service also includes Kids Ministry programming for PreK and under. \n“Lessons and Carols” is a traditional service celebrated by churches throughout time and across the globe. It began in the late 1800s in the Cathedral of Turo in the UK\, and was later performed regularly at Kings College in Cambridge beginning in 1918. There are seven lessons from Scripture\, leading us from Isaiah’s prophecy of the Messiah’s birth to the annunciation to the visit of the magi. Carols are sung by the congregation in response to each lesson.

DESCRIPTION:Cool Springs men\, do you like to backpack? All men are invited to join us for an overnight hike happening November 10-11.  It’s our fifth annual men’s hike in the Savage Gulf Wilderness area. This 16-mile round trip trek is a moderate to strenuous hike along a ridgeline overlooking the Savage Gulf in the South Cumberland Wilderness of southern Tennessee.
