DESCRIPTION:As we are excitedly completing renovation of our space and growing as a church\, we will be postponing our 3rd Annual Women’s Retreat until later this year. You can find more information about our build-out project here! \nPlease join the women of Christ Pres\, Cool Springs for our 3rd Annual Women’s Retreat\, a day to rest and reflect. As a means of orienting our hearts in the midst of our busy lives\, we will spend time reflecting on the Biblical theme of rest. The day will consist of: scripture readings and singing\, quiet time for prayerful reflection\, small group discussion\, delicious food\, and unstructured time for activities and/or relationship building. This will be a (very) slightly pared down version of our past women’s retreats with an emphasis on slowing down and making space for what matters most- giving our attention to our relationship with God and our relationships with one another. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Lessons & Carols services at 4:30 and 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve! \n“Lessons and Carols” is a traditional service celebrated by churches throughout time and across the globe. It began in the late 1800s in the Cathedral of Turo in the UK\, and was later performed regularly at Kings College in Cambridge beginning in 1918. There are seven lessons from Scripture\, leading us from Isaiah’s prophecy of the Messiah’s birth to the annunciation to the visit of the magi. Carols are sung by the congregation in response to each lesson. \nNursery for ages 2 and under will be available.
