DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Annual Cool Springs Chili Cookoff and Big Game Football Watch Party is February 9! Join us to watch the game and enjoy some homemade chili\, or submit chili for the cook-off. Please also bring canned soup to donate to GraceWorks Ministries! This is the time of year GraceWorks is most in need of food donations. It’s a SOUP-er Bowl Party! \nHere are all the details you need to know: \nWhat to Bring: \nLast Names A–M bring sides (chips\, cornbread\, cheese\, sour cream\, etc) \nLast Names N–Z bring desserts (please label if it contains nuts) \n  \nChili Cook Off Entries: \nBring a slow cooker or pot of chili to enter! Arrive at 5PM and check in at the welcome desk to receive your chili’s entry number. There are 3 categories: nontraditional (vegetarian\, chicken\, white chili\, etc)\, spiciest\, and overall. Judging will begin promptly at 5:15. Winners will be announced before halftime. \n  \nFor the Kids: \nThere will be non-spicy kid-friendly chili available! We will also have some short tables for kids and some coloring pages. We will not show the halftime show in the sanctuary! \n  \nBut what if I want to watch the halftime show? \nThe halftime show will be shown in Room 108 for those who are interested in watching it. \n  \nI really like football. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Lessons & Carols services at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve! \n“Lessons and Carols” is a traditional service celebrated by churches throughout time and across the globe. It began in the late 1800s in the Cathedral of Turo in the UK\, and was later performed regularly at Kings College in Cambridge beginning in 1918. There are seven lessons from Scripture\, leading us from Isaiah’s prophecy of the Messiah’s birth to the annunciation to the visit of the magi. Carols are sung by the congregation in response to each lesson. \nNursery for ages 2 and under will be available.
