Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the unique vantage point of Screwtape\, a highly placed assistant to “Our Father Below.” At once wildly comic\, deadly serious\, and strikingly original\, C.S. SUMMARY:Kids Serve: Room in the Inn
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, February 4\, we have the opportunity to serve our community by partnering with Room In The Inn (RITI). RITI is a ministry that works alongside churches to host and feed men in the community who find themselves in a situation without a stable home. We will be serving and eating dinner with our Room In The Inn guests. I would love for you\, your 4th or 5th grader\, and/or your whole family to join us as we serve these individuals in our city.  \nWhere: Gathering Room (Christ Pres. Church) \nWhen:  Sunday\, February 4th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  \n\nPlease RSVP here by Sunday\, January 28th.\nKids Ministry will be providing fried chicken and a fruit platter.\nIt would be great if we could bless these men with other homemade sides and desserts. This monthly event is designed specifically for moms of young children (oldest child is no older than 3rd grade) to connect with other CPC moms over a light snack\, a pertinent topic\, and a small group discussion led by an older mentoring mom. DESCRIPTION:CPC101 for Old Hickory Blvd is an informative and interactive 10-week session (through March 10) that walks you through our church mission/vision/values\, the Presbyterian faith\, and is the first step in our membership process. Our facilitators lead adults through lessons supported by our CPC101 workbook\, which you’ll receive a copy of upon arrival. Membership is not required once you complete CPC101\, but for those wishing to become members\, participation in CPC101 is a prerequisite.
